Cliff malletwood or White's malletwood i

Rhodamnia whiteana

The story

In 1986, the botanical world officially welcomed White's malletwood, also known as the cliff malletwood. Botanists Gordon Guymer and Laurence Jessup formally described the species for the very first time. The foundation for their scientific description was a specimen carefully collected from the slopes of Mount Cordeaux in eastern Australia, where this sub-tropical rainforest plant makes its home.
