Euphorbia rockii
The story
High in the mist-shrouded Koʻolau Mountains of Oʺhu, Hawaii, lives a plant deeply tied to the islands' unique natural heritage. Known by the common names Koolau Range sandmat and Rock's broomspurge, this rare species is called ʻakoko by locals, a name it shares with other native Hawaiian euphorbs.
