Drosera ramellosa

The story
The botanical identity of the branched sundew was once a subject of scientific confusion. First described by Johann Georg Christian Lehmann in 1844, this Western Australian native was described again just four years later in 1848 by Jules Émile Planchon, who named it Drosera penduliflora. It took until 1864 for botanist George Bentham to resolve the overlap, officially reducing Planchon's classification to a synonym of Drosera ramellosa.
